National Clinician Scholars Program at UCSF

About our program

Based at UCSF’s Philip R. Lee Institute for Health Policy Studies, the NCSP at UCSF is a partnership between UCSF’s Schools of Medicine and Nursing. Scholars train in a closely-knit cohort, receive mentorship from faculty from different disciplines, and build their skills in health services research, community partnered research, implementation and dissemination sciences, health policy, and health system transformation. The curriculum has flexibility, and scholars are encouraged to develop skills useful for their specific career path, be it inside or outside of health care systems. UCSF has a long history of community partnerships with public health systems, social service agencies, and community groups; scholars will have the opportunity to build on these. The NCSP at UCSF welcomes inquiries about our program.
