Katherine Reeves, PhD, PMHNP-BC (VA Scholar)

Dr. Katherine Reeves received her Bachelor of Science from Columbia University and her Master of Science from the University of California, San Francisco before becoming a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. She then worked in outpatient child and adolescent psychiatry where she developed an expertise in the care of suicidal and self-harming teens and their families. She received her PhD from the University of California, San Francisco where she studied the experience of suicidal thoughts among adolescents over time using N of 1 and computational research methods.  

Dr. Reeves is originally from the Bay Area, enjoys a morning surf, tends to “think big” (despite her better judgment), and is a firm believer in “hearing people out”. 

Research Interests: Using innovative technology and N of 1 research methods to advance precise, effective, and equitable mental health care.
