Dr. Sabreea Parnell is a general surgery resident at University of California, San Francisco. She graduated from Morgan State University with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry before attending medical school at Boston University. In medical school she focused her work on dismantling the effects of racism in medicine through medical education and curriculum development. She is passionate about health equity and encouraging underrepresented youth in medicine to pursue health careers. She is working to become an academic trauma and acute care surgeon and surgical intensivist with special interest in reducing violent injury.

Research Interests: Investigating injury and violence prevention with a focus on trauma informed care and hospital-based violence intervention programs.
