Abigail Arons MD, MPAff

Dr. Abigail Arons is an Internal Medicine/Pediatrics physician who works on strategic health policy design over the life course. Originally from Winters, California, she earned her BA in Mathematics from Smith College, then went on to puruse a Master of Public Affairs at the LBJ School at the University of Texas at Austin. She spent time prior to medical school working in state health policy, first in Texas, and later in Washington DC at the National Academy for State Health Policy. Following this, she completed medical school at UCSF, and residency at UCLA. 

Her current research interests include strategies to address social needs through the health care system and policies, including interventions for emerging adults with prediabetes, and Medicaid social needs initiatives.   

Research Interests: Advancing the next generation of social determinants of health interventions through translating science to policy.
