Isabel Ostrer, MD

Dr. Isabel Ostrer is an Internal Medicine physician committed to improving population health outcomes by designing systems that effectively integrate social care with medical care. She grew up in New York City and graduated from Harvard College with a focus on the history of medicine. She then spent three years doing health economics research at Harvard Medical School before earning her medical degree from the University of California San Francisco. She completed residency training in UCSF's primary care track based at San Francisco General Hospital. Her areas of interest include health care delivery system redesign, improving access to health care and social services for vulnerable populations, and using transformative technology in these endeavors.

Research Interests: Effectively integrating social and medical care to improve wellbeing at a population level.
