Stella Bialous, RN, DrPH, FAAN
Dr. Stella Bialous is a Professor at the SBS department in the School of Nursing. Her main areas of interest are tobacco, cancer and other non-communicable diseases. She is internationally recognized as an expert in tobacco control policy development and implementation, surveillance of the tobacco industry and other corporate determinants of health and the impact of corporate actors in aggravating and sustaining health disparities. She has also worked in projects to build capacity of nurses to engage in tobacco control and the policy process, including the Sustainable Development Goals. She has extensive global health experience and works with collaborators in several disciplines and countries.
